Robert E. Goldfield Robert was born on December 3, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, he was taken from us due to a tragic auto accident in southern Oklahoma on May 24, 2008. Those that know him will miss him because of his character, gratitude and love for all living things. He loved life, and was pleased with the simplest things that God provided ie: a blooming flower or the clouds that surrounded us before a storm. He loved all things basic and these basics created a wonderful human being. He made friends easily and he felt honored to form those relationships. His leadership skills were impeccable, simply because he believed in truth and fairness. Come join us to celebrate a wonderful human beings life and to honor God. Services will be held 10 am Friday May 30, 2008 at Guardian North Funeral Home with interment following the service at Memory Gardens in McAlester, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be David Newbery, Jack Fite, Bill Corbin, John Gray, Matt Nelson and Ron Hastings. Robert's accomplishments are too many to list, but to name a few he was a Vietnam Veteran for the U.S. Army as well as an Administrative Law Judge for over 10 years, Founder and President of the Neighborhood Association, a 32nd Degree life member of the Masonic Order, held life member positions in several fraternal organizations he was a part of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission for several years as well and the State Legislative Council. He is preceded in death by both parents William and MaudDell Goldfield, and a sister Joyce Allen. He is survived by his life mate of 27 years Tony Oda, niece Mrs. Anderson, three special cousins, Corrina, Billie, and Sharon and their families. He is also survived by his two special adoptive sisters, Jean and Sally along with their families a multitude of friends that really cared for him and lastly his little buddies at home, Sooner, Boris and Sissy.
