Robert H. Garnett, lifelong Oklahoma City resident, passed away October 9, 2023. He was born September 20, 1941, the son of Edward J. and Elizabeth H. Garnett. After graduating from Harding High School in 1959, Bob attended Oklahoma City University earning a degree in Mathematics.

On February 25, 1966, he married Danielle Maugain at Wesley United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. The couple moved to Texas and Bob earned a second degree in electronic engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Bob was a lifetime member of the Eta Kappa Nu Engineering Honors Society. He began a 37-year career with the FAA, retiring as the Terminal Radar Team Lead. Following his retirement from the FAA, he worked five years with the Regulus Group as an engineer.

Bob was very mechanically minded and could fix anything. A couple of his proudest accomplishments were building two corvettes from the ground up and building motorcycles for himself and his brother.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Danielle; a son, Robert E. Garnett, of Arkansas; sister, Lisa McLauchlin (Ted) of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Edward L. Garnett (Melody) of Oklahoma City and James K. Garnett (Pamela) of Kansas City, MO; three granddaughters, Danielle, Lissa, and Sarah; grandson, Charlie; and three great grandchildren, Dakota, Alex, and Lilliana; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 15 from 3-5 p.m. at Smith & Kernke on N. May. A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at Epworth Villa Brill Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 NE 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104, for Prostate Cancer research.
