I had the good fortune to go to work for a large company who had pioneered the use of plastic (PVC) conduit in commercial, residential & telephone and power utilities with underground duct. I had recently moved to Southern California and was surprised to learn the Plant Manager of my new employer was a young man (barely in his 30's) by the name of Robert Holleron. We soon bonded as we had so many interests in common, including birthdays 2 days apart, as well as riding dirt motorcycles in the deserts! I thought that a man of such young age managing a very large PVC extruding plant was pretty special. That was just a start for Bob- he managed several plants for the company and ultimately achieved the companies Manufacturing Vice President position in the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters.

His meteorological rise thru the company (Carlon)was well deserved. Bob was s creative manager & way ahead of others in the PVC extrusion business. He was a darned brilliant Mechanical Engineer from Oklahoma State University & used his skills wisely! Fate would keep us in contact thru our careers & we both retired from our corporate lives in Northern California- remarkably separated by 12 miles of Sierra foothills- funny how 2 kids from Oklahoma (Bob) & Kansas (me) kept in such contact for over 50 years! Robert was like a brother to me; 2 days younger, but many years advanced in wisdom. He was a GREAT friend to me and my family! I will live in sadness over loosing Bob as well as the closeness of his wife Alisa and all of their wonderful children & grand kids. Bob was such a special person. He was loved by me & my family and will always be missed. Respectfully, Roger Peterson along with my Wife Connie & all our children who knew of Bob's amazing existence. REST WELL BOB!!!
