I attended NTSU in Denton the same time Jerry attended. My recollection is that he passed away in 1960, the same year we were at NTSU. He was a talented guy. He played the backup guitar for our little trio at school when we compted in the talent contest. Jerry was a private person with a lot of wit. I've thought of him often.
Jerry was my best friend in grade school and a close friend all through school. We shared some great memories together. He was the James Dean of our class. I've missed him dearly all these years.
Jerry Masheter died on November 8, 1962 and is buried at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, OK
